Alpha Crucis Chardonnay
Wine
Chalk Hill Alpha Crucis Chardonnay is sourced from one of the highest vineyards in the Piccadilly Valley in the Adelaide Hills. The grapes are all handpicked.
Natural fermentation takes place in open fermenters, then the wine is transferred to a mix of new, second and third use French oak to age. It undergoes little or no malolactic fermentation prior to barrel selection and blending.
Straw yellow, Chalk Hill Alpha Crucis Chardonnay has stone fruit and citrus flavours with a lingering, silky finish. Cellaring potential is six years.
